David + Holly: Married

David and Holly had a gorgeous fall day for their wedding in Covington. I really enjoyed being a part of this big event in their lives and loved getting to know their families.

Holly's dad seeing her in the dress. This was such a sweet moment and had everyone in the room a little emotional.
David and Holly chose to see each other before the ceremony so that we could do their private session at Humpback Bridge, right outside of town. David took Holly there on their first date and then later proposed there too, so it was certainly sentimental for them.

I loved Holly's look~simple and elegant.
I love when churches have the organ pipes like this! Makes for a pretty backdrop.
I'll leave you with this cutie, Holly's niece Anna. You can see her "bodyguard", aka Dad, standing behind her...this girl can move fast!

Beth: Senior

It is definitely senior season! Beth is the most recent one and this Brookville student had plenty of cool ideas as we explored downtown. Take a look~
I think I like this one the best!

Barksdales: Family

Shannon, my second shooter for weddings, asked if I would go out to her in-laws' home in Rustburg to make portraits of the entire family. They have a lake and some wooded property, and we made the best out of a gorgeous Saturday morning. I'll give you a little peek of the kids photos, just because they are my favorite subjects!

Here are Doug and Lois with all of the grandkids...

The baby...he has gotten so big since I last photographed him at the beginning of the year!
These two sisters are self-proclaimed "fighters", but managed to keep it together for a photo op!
Girls, watch out...this guy is a charmer. Between the kisses and his cute dog, he'll be stealing hearts soon!
And last but not least...my favorite little redhead. I had to bribe her with a popsicle, which is nothing new with this fiery personality!

Cynthia: Expecting

What an amazing couple. Little Abigail Mia is going to be one special kid when she joins Cynthia and Joey next month. Abigail is truly a miracle and we're all looking forward to meeting her and loving on her. Now take a look at this hot mama!

Josh + Lindsay: Married

I always love an excuse to travel back to my hometown (the whole hour and a half drive that it is!), and Josh and Lindsay's wedding last Saturday was no exception. The day was all about the details...the little things that not only captured the beautiful fall day that it was but the journey that this couple was about to embark on. The ceremony and reception were both held at the home of Lindsay's parents, property dating back to the 1800s I do believe. It was a festive event with a lot of laughter and fun, and dancing lasting into the night. Here's a little sneak peek!

Down by the river, finally a moment to themselves...

Part of the decor waiting to greet guests as they arrived~
I love this one~I think Lindsay's look represents what every bride goes through just moments before the ceremony...nervousness, anticipation, excitement.
Look at these colors! This cake display was probably the prettiest and most creative one I've seen.
Taking a stroll through the property...

Lindsay and Josh~Thanks for letting me be a part of your amazing day and I hope you had a fabulous time in Mexico!

Anna: Newborn

This is little Anna, who just turned three months old. She is such a cutie!

A darling outfit for fall~

This was right before she gave out on us and decided she wanted to eat...I don't think she particularly cared for laying in the grass!

Lindsay: Senior

This gorgeous senior is Lindsay, who wanted some portraits done downtown. She had a cute collection of outfits and two hilarious sisters who kept us laughing. Lindsay was a little shy at first but ended up working the camera...even though it didn't take much effort from her at all. She's a natural beauty!

Love this outfit!

Addison: One

Little Miss Addison with her cute pigtails and hilarious expressions, is turning one this weekend!

My favorite!
This one made me laugh so hard when I saw it. Her tutu outfit has a cupcake on it in honor of her birthday and here she is, licking her lips. She must know what's in store for her!
Don't let the smile fool you...Addison doesn't like the grass on her bare skin but was a good sport long enough for me to get a couple shots!
Happy birthday Addison!

Whitney: Senior

Whitney is a super fun, bubbly senior with a big personality. She had a lot of great ideas and I think we got some nice shots at Hollins Mill. Let me tell you though, it was hard to get a straight face out of her~she was really enjoying her photo shoot!

I love when I'm able to capture laughter~and laughter definitely fits Whitney!

Ella V: Senior

Meet Ella V! This girl is very cool and down to earth- I think if I could rewind time back to high school, Ella would definitely be one of my favorites to hang out with. We met up downtown and headed out to get a funky, urban look for her senior pictures. She was open to pretty much anything, plus the weather cooperated beautifully...nice combination. Take a look.

She looks gorgeous here...classic.

I knew this one would be a keeper when I took it...love the mix of textures.

Several of these places are within a block of my new studio...there will be so many options!
