Christmas: Holdiay Cheer

Wishing all of you a merry Christmas! I hope that you are able to spend time with the ones you love and take a few days to relax. I'm looking forward to the new year and everything that it will bring. Be sure to check back after the holiday for upcoming news and events~I've been working diligently on getting the studio up and running and am looking forward to having the big grand opening in late January or early February.

In the meantime, go finish your shopping and eat those holiday treats, and I'll check back after the 1st!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Family Time

I got lucky on Saturday, with a relatively warm morning to head out with Tim, Lisa, and Nicholas for a session. The little guy had me eating out of his hand-he was well-behaved and just so cute. Here's their sneak peak, just in time for Christmas!

Okay, seriously, how could you not eat him up?
Mom and Dad, getting a little time with the camera. What you can't see is Nicholas off to the side giving them a thumbs up for a job well done.
One more...I can't resist.

Thanksgiving: Family Time

The Kirks and the Colemans all flew home to Lynchburg for the holiday and decided it would be a good time to have some family portraits made. Let's just say, there were a bunch of kids running around playing when I arrived, but we wrangled them up and were not above bribes! I chose just a few that I liked right away to preview for you all.

The Kirk family-the little guy on the right looks like he does not like me or my camera! You'll see that face again...
The Colemans had nothing but big smiles for me.

I told you that you'd see this face again! So cute.

Fitzgerald: Family Time

This brother and sister were put up to this by their mom as a surprise for Dad, so we worked fast to get them and back into the warm car.

Trying not to get too close to each other!

The only one unfazed by the weather! She refused to even get back in the car at the end.

Meehan: Family

This family is tough...I mean, really tough. The day of our session was very cold and windy but they were troopers and we got some great shots because of it!

Drew + Jackie: Engaged

Jackie and Drew have been patiently waiting for their sneak peak! Last weekend, I met them up at the Big Meadows area on the Skyline Drive, and even though it was very windy and cold, we got some amazing shots. They are a fun-loving couple who are pretty much up for anything!
I told Drew he had to practice "dipping" Jackie for their May wedding.

Check out the view behind them...

I had to show you the sparkler!

Carrie, Kelly, Susanna: Seniors

Twins Carrie and Kelly and best friend Susanna decided to get their senior portraits taken together, which made for an adventurous couple of hours, to say the least. We traipsed around Susanna's grandfather's farm, an amazing place with a lot of cool backdrops. Carrie and Kelly are senior reps for me, and I've gotten to know them and their family pretty well over the last year or so. Susanna was a fun addition too!

Catherine: Senior

Catherine is one of my senior reps at Glass, and it came time for her to have her full-blown session. We had a beautiful day and some really nice property to work with...here's her sneak peek!

Sarah + Claire: Girl Time

I was thrilled to show up to photograph Sarah and Claire and see them dressed in their frilly pink dresses! Mom had an assortment of fun outfits for little Claire, who was the focus of our session. Claire loves her Curious George toy and loves tummy time...well more like hands and knees time. Every time we tried to get her in a different position, she would turn so quick I couldn't even get a picture!

Getting tickled by Daddy...
Big sister, Sarah
Look at those ruffles!

Caroline: Senior

This is Caroline~funky, creative, independent. She recently returned from six months in Portugal and has big plans for after graduation. Caroline was certainly a trooper as we battled some chilly temperatures this weekend shooting on the Lynchburg College campus.

I'll start you off with my favorite!
Channeling her inner rock-star.

I had to show another one with this dress...beautiful.

David + Holly: Married

David and Holly had a gorgeous fall day for their wedding in Covington. I really enjoyed being a part of this big event in their lives and loved getting to know their families.

Holly's dad seeing her in the dress. This was such a sweet moment and had everyone in the room a little emotional.
David and Holly chose to see each other before the ceremony so that we could do their private session at Humpback Bridge, right outside of town. David took Holly there on their first date and then later proposed there too, so it was certainly sentimental for them.

I loved Holly's look~simple and elegant.
I love when churches have the organ pipes like this! Makes for a pretty backdrop.
I'll leave you with this cutie, Holly's niece Anna. You can see her "bodyguard", aka Dad, standing behind her...this girl can move fast!

Beth: Senior

It is definitely senior season! Beth is the most recent one and this Brookville student had plenty of cool ideas as we explored downtown. Take a look~
I think I like this one the best!
